UMFCCI boosts Mon State fruit exports, bolsters salt farming

The Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (UMFCCI) will help enhance the salt farming businesses and organize the exportation of fruits, including areca nut, produced from the Mon and Kayin states.
The UMFCCI and Mon State Chambers of Commerce and Industry on 18 October discussed matters regarding improving the salt businesses in Mon State, maintaining the sustainability of salt farmers’ businesses, production of high-quality salt and earning export income from salt.
Similarly, they also focus on the exportation of areca nut and fruit products from Mon and Kayin State to China, trade facilitation, smooth transportation and UMFCCI’s support to get access to agricultural loans.
Additionally, exhibiting local products at MSME fairs, market exploration, agricultural loan access, legitimate banking transactions in exports, collaborative efforts of the UMFCCI and Mon State CCI in manufacturing and trade businesses, and the border rules of neighbouring countries designated for exports. — TWA/EM
