Union Auditor-General attends 7th ASEANSAI Summit for Chairmanship handover

Myanmar delegation led by Union Auditor-General Dr Khin Naing Oo attended the 7th ASEANSAI Summit for ASEANSAI Chairmanship handover held in Manila on 1 and 2 November at the invitation of Mr Mario G Lipana, Commissioner for Commission on Audit of the Philippines.
At the summit, the current ASEANSAI Chair Dr Khin Naing Oo made an opening speech following the greeting speech by Mr Gamaliel A Cordoba, Chairman of the Commission on Audit of the Philippines, who will assume the Chairmanship of ASEANSAI.
Then, they discussed the annual reports of respective ASEANSAI committees, amendment of rules and procedures of ASEANSAI, report on joint free research conducted by auditor-general offices and other related matters.
Next, the Union Auditor-General presented the ASEANSAI Chairmanship Commemoration Book 2021-2023 to the Auditors-General of ASEANSAI members and handed over the ASEANSAI flag and the gavel to the Auditor-General of the Philippines.
Similarly, the Permanent Secretary of the Union Auditor-General Office attended the coordination meetings on the successful holding of the summit and preparation of technology on 1 November. — MNA/KTZH
