Yangon mayor inspects development projects in Hlinethaya township

Yangon Region Minister for Development Affairs and Yangon City Development Committee Chairman Mayor U Bo Htay and party inspected development projects and provided necessary support in Hlinethaya Township on 2 February.
The mayor inspected the completion of a 665-foot by 110-foot by 8-foot lake in the University of West Yangon compound in Htantabin Township. Additionally, he observed the land modifications between the No 2 Chancellor Road and Sagawa Hall, landscaping efforts by the Department of Parks and Playgrounds, to enhance the lake’s surrounding scenery, excavation of two tube-wells, and installation of solar panels for three decorative fountains.
He then proceeded to oversee the mechanized dredging of a new drains within the university compound, cultivation of pigs and fish at the Hteinbin landfill site, summer paddy farming across 60 acres of land, and ongoing expansion of the Yangon-Pathein highway in front of Bayintnaung Park at the intersection of the Yangon-Pathein and Yangon-Nyaungdon highways in Ward 7, Hlinethaya (East) Township. Additionally, he supervised the construction of a parking lot and expansion efforts at Bayintnaung Park.
During his inspections, he urged relevant officials to ensure the timely completion of all tasks and to strive to meet the targeted yield in paddy farming. — MNA/NT
