11,000 Myanmar workers to be sent to Korea through EPS system

According to the Ministry of Labour, about 11,000 Myanmar workers have been recruited to be sent to Korea through the EPS system this year.
Union Minister for Labour U Myint Naung spoke to the workers who will go to work in Korea through the EPS system on 17 February at an overseas employment orientation course in Dagon Myothit (North) Township. Government foreign employment agencies are sending workers to Korea through the EPS system and 10,611 people were sent to manufacturing, agriculture, livestock, and construction sectors in 2023.
This year, about 11,000 people will be selected and sent as labour recruitment quota for Myanmar. According to the Ministry of Labour, efforts are being made to speed up the process of sending more Myanmar workers to South Korea and seek suitable jobs. The Ministry has provided training to a total of 444,928 trainees from 2017 to 31 January 2024 in the opening of the Foreign Work Orientation Course for workers who are going to work abroad. — TWA/KZL
