14 export licences approved for Thai-Myanmar border trade worth over US$4M

According to the Ministry of Commerce, a total of 14 export licences worth have been approved to export goods more than US$4 million from the Yangon-Kawthoung-Ranong route through the container system.
The statement says the export and import entrepreneurs will launch the exports along Yangon-Kawthoung-Ranong route and the imports from Ranong-Kawthoung-Yangon channel through the border trade system.
In addition, the Ministry has approved the verification of import licences to ensure that there is no shortage of raw materials in domestic production activities.
The Trade Department released a news bulletin on 11 April that the Myanmar-Thai border trade is allowed through the container system from the Yangon-Kawthoung-Ranong and Ranong-Kawthoung-Yangon port channels. — TWA/MKKS
