Kyaukse to grow 51,799 acres of monsoon paddy in 2021-2022FY

Kyaukse Township is targeted to develop 51,799 acres of monsoon paddy in the 2021-2022 financial year (FY), according to the Township Agriculture Department.
Officials from Agriculture Department, Agricultural Land Management and Statistics Department, Irrigation and Water Utilization Management Department and Agricultural Mechanization Department, village administrators and local farmers held a work coordination meeting at the agriculture training camp on 16 June in order to meet the target and requirements.
In 2021-2022FY, Kyaukse Township will grow a total of 52,799 acres of monsoon paddy, including 5,910 acres in Thindee canal, 2,521 acres in Htaunggyi canal, 7,072 acres in Samar canal, 524 acres in DeeWaine-15 canal, 436 acres in Thittatgone canal, 232 acres in Yeya Man Baw Tuang region and 11 acres in Yebawgyi village-tract with underground water.
Officials from related departments will hold coordination meetings with village administrators and local farmers every Wednesday at the agricultural training camp to exceed the monsoon paddy acreage in Kyaukse township. — Thet Maung (Kyaukse)/GNLM
