Rehabilitation materials despatched to Rakhine State

Rehabilitation items are arranged onboard the vessel to transport them to Sittway.

Under the guidance of the National Disaster Management Committee and the Transport and Communication Committee, various rehabilitation materials have been despatched to support recovery efforts in Rakhine State. A total of 1,504.43 tonnes of food, goods, oil, health aids, construction materials, furniture, and wood-alternative fuels were transported to Sittway by cargo ships from The Myanmar Terminal (TMT).
Additionally, 67,741.92 tonnes of rehabilitation materials, along with 249,762 gallons of diesel and 199,886 gallons of octane, have been sent to Sittway Township in Rakhine State using 46 cargo ships, including vessels from Tatmadaw. This despatch began on 16 May 2023 and continues to date. — MNA/TRKM
