Kyaukse Township grows 5,202 acres of edible oil crops

Mandalay Region officials estimated to grow 11,585 acres of peanut, sesame and sunflower in Kyaukse Township and it has already planted in 5,202 acres of croplands.
The edible oil crops are planted in respective areas of Kyaukse Township. The peanut is planted in 30 acres of station (1) while 80 acres in station (2), five acres in station (5), 20 acres in station (11), and 167 acres in station (12).
The sesame is grown in 82 acres of croplands in station (6) while 35 acres in station (8), 287 acres in station (11) and 1,090 acres in station (12).
The sunflower is planted in 647 acres of croplands in station (1) while 376 acres in station (2), 320 acres in station (4), 10 acres in station (5), 40 acres in station (6), 350 acres in station (8), 420 acres in station (10), 446 acres in station (11) and 797 acres in station (12), according to the Department of township Agricultural Land Management and Statistics.—Thet Maung (Kyaukse)/GNLM
