75th anniversary of Shan State Day celebrated

The Diamond Jubilee Shan State Day Ceremony was organized at Awayya Hot-air Ballon Ground in Taunggyi yesterday.
The event was attended by State Administration Council Members Jeng Phang Naw Taung, Saw Daniel, U Sai Lone Hsai and U Shwe Kyein, Union Ministers Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung, U Htay Aung and U Saw Tun Aung Myint, Shan State Chief Minister Dr Kyaw Tun and other relevant officials.
SAC member U Sai Lone Hsai read out the message sent by SAC Chairman Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing to the ceremony mark the 75th anniversary of Shan State Day and State Chief Minister Dr Kyaw Tun delivered a speech.
Then, the SAC members, the chief minister and officials presented the certificates of honour and excellent awards in management, security and the rule of law, agriculture, health, social and research sectors to winners.
Then, Union Minister for Border Affairs Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung donated 150 sets of solar panels to the state chief minister.
Afterwards, the SAC members, Union ministers and Shan state chief minister then cut the ribbon to launch a Vegetable Fair to mark Shan State Day in Heho Inkhaung of Kalaw Township.
SAC member U Sai Lone Hsai made a greeting speech, while the state chief minister and the deputy minister of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation delivered remarks.
Then the officials handed over bags of fertilizers to the farmers from Kalaw, Pinlaung, Nyaungshwe, Ywangan, Pindaya, Yaksawk, Hsihseng and Hopong townships.
The state chief minister gave fruit baskets to SAC members and Union ministers.
The SAC members, Union ministers, chief minister and officials inspected the display of booths of the Agriculture Department and processes for citizenship scrutiny cards of the Immigration and Population Ministry. — MNA
