Shan State Chief Minister inspects Myanmar-Lao Friendship Bridge

Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Aung visits Myanmar-Lao Friendship Bridge in Kenglat of Tachilek yesterday.

Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Aung, accompanied by ministers, the state advocate-general and officials, inspected the Myanmar-Lao Friendship Bridge in Kenglat of Tachilek Township, Shan State (East), yesterday to promote bilateral border trade and facilitate trade process in the border region.
The Chief Minister and party met with relevant departmental officials serving their duties at the border gate of the friendship bridge, and urged them to promote border trade. The Chief Minister discussed the necessary arrangements and fulfilled the needs presented by the officials before inspecting the relevant offices at the border checkpoint.
After that, the Chief Minister and the commander of Triangle Region Command donated K18.3 million and rice and cooking oil for internally displaced people to Dr Bhaddanta Puññananda, the abbot of Thiri Yadana Mansu Monastery in Lashio Township. — Maung Maung Than (Taunggyi)/TH
