Rent payment and contract signing for second phase of Thukha Dagon public rental housing to conduct in May

Rent payment and signing contracts for the second phase units of Thukha Dagon public rental housing project in Dagon Myothit (South) will take placebe in May, according to the Department of Urban and Housing Development, Yangon (DUHD-YGN).

Out of 800 units in 50 buildings of the second phase, electricity meters for 768 units in 48 buildings have been received and the installation will begin in May. Therefore, rent payment and contract signing will be carried out and the respective dates for each building will be further announced, DUHD-YGN said

Thukha Dagon public rental housing project situated near the junction of No.2 Highway and Yangon ring road in Dagon Myo Thit (South) will grant five years’ residency permit to people, retired employees and in-service civil servants who have difficulty renting a house. The applicants must have low family incomes and rents range from K 46,000 to K67,000.

Tenants are instructed to avoid subletting, sharing or transferring the whole or a part of the rented unit to persons not included in the household registration and if they fail to comply, rental permits will be revoked, it announced.

YBS No. 71, No. 81 and No.97 are running to Thukha Dagon public rental housing for the convenient transportation of the residents in the housing.
