Outstanding student camps launched in Ngwehsaung and Chaungtha

The opening ceremonies of the Grade-11 Outstanding Student Camp in Ngwehsaung and the Grade-12 Outstanding Student Camp in Chaungtha were held yesterday morning. The events were attended by Regional Chief Minister U Tin Maung Win and his wife, the Commander of South-West Command and his wife, officials, outstanding students, and residents.
Firstly, the Regional Chief Minister, the Commander of the South-West Command, the Regional Minister for Ethnic Affairs, and officials cut the ribbon to inaugurate the Grade-11 Outstanding Student Camp in Ngwehsaung for the 2024 academic year.
Following this, at the Yamonna Oo Hotel, outstanding students sang the “Myanmar School” song to commence the second part of the ceremony. The Chief Minister addressed the audience, highlighting that outstanding students excel not only in academic subjects but also in extracurricular activities such as literature, sports, arts, and communications. He urged them to broaden their knowledge in agriculture and livestock breeding activities and to enjoy peace and happiness during their visit to the Ayeyawady Region.
Subsequently, the head of the camp in Ngwehsaung and the Regional Education Director provided an overview of the camp. The Chief Minister, along with other officials, awarded brooches to outstanding students individually.
A dance was performance by students from Shaukchaung Basic Education High School Branch, and they sang the song “Zatiman”.
Following this, the Chief Minister attended the opening ceremony of the Grade-12 Outstanding Student Camp in Chaungtha.
The head of the camp in Chaungtha provided insights into the camp’s activities. Subsequently, brooches were decorated at outstanding students.
