The Taunggyi Outstanding Students Camp 2024 commenced with an opening ceremony at 9 am yesterday in the convocation hall of Taunggyi University.
Firstly, Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Aung unveiled the signboard of the Taunggyi Outstanding Students Camp 2024. Subsequently, the Chief Minister, alongside the State ministers, Director-General of the Higher Education Department, and the State Education Officer, officially inaugurated the ceremony by cutting the ribbon.
During his address, the Shan State Chief Minister encouraged the outstanding students to study lives of residents, traditions, and cultures of the local people diligently. He emphasized the importance of sharing knowledge and preserving traditions and cultures to foster unity and friendship among different nationalities. Additionally, he urged the outstanding students to strive to become reliable citizens for the country.
Following the speeches, the Chief Minister and other officials engaged in friendly conversations with the outstanding students after presenting them with commemorative gifts.
Furthermore, Grade-10 outstanding students (academic year 2023-2024) from various states and regions embarked on visits to renowned sites in Shan State (South).— Maung Maung Than (Taunggyi)/ TRKM
