Drugs seized in Bhamo and Myawady townships

On 10 July at 6:20 pm, a combined team consisting of members of the Anti-Drug Police Force stopped and searched a motorbike driven by Larli near Sihae village of Bhamo township. Police captured 7,605 stimulant tablets and 0.012 kilogramme of stimulant tablet powder.
In addition, the combined Police Force examined a suspected Toyota Crown car with Zaw Naing Aung (aka) Kyongkwar and Kyaw Thet Naing Oo (aka) Eainshein in No (4) Ward of Myawady township and seized 0.08 kilogramme of Ketamine at 4:15 pm.
Afterwards, at 5 pm, Police searched a hotel room of Zaw Naing Aung (aka) Kyongkwar near Asia Road in No (4) Ward of Myawady township and captured 0.04 kilogramme of Ketamine again.
According to the investigation, at 6 pm, Police searched a house of Ma Zin Mar Oo (aka) Aik Ti in No (4) Ward of Myawady township and seized 1.7 kilogrammes of Ice, 0.4 kilogramme of Ketamine and Ecstasy tablets.
The suspects are prosecuted under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law, it is learnt. — MNA
