Myanmar U-18 women’s team advance to semi-finals after winning two games in row

The second day of the 2022 ASEAN U-18 Women’s Championship, Group B, continued yesterday in Planbum, Indonesia, where the Myanmar team beat the Philippines by three goals to one goal and advanced to the semi-finals.
After winning over Malaysia in the previous group match, the Myanmar team defeated the Philippines team again in the second match and qualified for the semi-finals with one game remaining. The Myanmar women’s team was able to show good form in each match and was able to get full points. The Myanmar U-18 women’s team made some changes to the starting lineup.
Since it was an important match for the semi-finals, the Myanmar team played hard from the start. Since the Philippines team was defeated in the opening game, they tried to get a good result this game, but the team Myanmar got goals after 30 minutes. In the 33rd minute, the Myanmar team got an opening goal, and the goal was scored by Hnin Pwint Aye.
Four minutes later, Myanmar got a second goal, and the goal was beautifully scored by Su Myat Noe. Myanmar led by two goals at the end of the first half. In the second half, the Philippines team tried to score an equalizing goal, but team Myanmar was able to control the match the best. In the 87th minute, Jonalin Lubam scored an equalizing goal for the Philippines, but in the 90th minute, Hnin Pwint Aye scored the third goal to ensure victory for the Myanmar team.
In Group B, Myanmar and Australia have secured six points each before the meeting and are sure to enter the semi-finals, while the Philippines and Malaysia, which have lost both matches, have been eliminated from the group stage.
