CBM holds workshop for Onsite inspection on AML/CFT, Feedback Meeting, WMD

The Central Bank of Myanmar (Yangon branch) organized a workshop for weaknesses found in Onsite supervision on AML/CFT, Feedback Meeting and WMD yesterday.
The workshop was attended by CBM Deputy Governor Daw Than Than Swe, Directors-General of CBM, representatives of the Financial Intelligence Unit, Bureau of Special Investigation, Banks, mobile banking services and national strategy III for AML/CFT.
During the event, Chairperson of the National Strategy III CBM Deputy Governor Daw Than Than Swe made an opening speech.
Then, they discussed the weaknesses found in Onsite and Offsite inspections on AML/CFT, proper amendments, facts to be aware of by the banks to ensure quality reports and weapons of mass destruction (WMD). — MNA
