AGTI Diploma Course No 19 concludes at NYRD Degree College (Yangon)

Conclusion of AGTI Diploma Course No 19 of Nationalities Youth Resource Development Degree College (Yangon) in Dagon Myothit (Seikkan) Township, Yangon Region, was held on 29 April at the convocation hall of the Degree College.
During the event, Union Minister for Border Affairs Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung said that the Ministry has been working effectively and successfully on the development of border areas and human resource development.
These degree colleges in Yangon and Sagaing train the ethnic youths from the border areas to become good civil servants for the development of social economic life in their areas, he stated.
Since its establishment in Yangon, 2,716 ethnic youths in total have been nurtured to turn out 546 Bachelor of Arts graduates, 1,292 Bachelor of Science graduates, 135 BTech holders, and 743 engineering diploma holders.
He said that due to the efforts of the students along with the support provided by the relevant ministry, 71 students have obtained MA degrees, 146 MSC degrees, 15 PhD, 301 BE, 15 ME, and 452 BTech degrees.
Next, the Union Minister presented the outstanding award to the student in engineering subject, and the representatives from 18 ministries presented appointment letters to 81 graduate students.
In the afternoon, the Union Minister looked around the stand of stadium in the 2022-2023 fiscal year approval fund, the four-storey engineering workshop, greening the campus, and mushroom cultivation on the degree college campus.
The Union Minister met with officials, and the principal explained administration and academic measures, and agricultural and livestock sectors.
The Union Minister fulfilled the needs of the degree college and rewarded the staff and students.
In the evening, the Union Minister and the Yangon Region Chief Minister hosted a dinner in honour of the graduates. — MNA/KZL
