MNL 2 Promotion Amateur Club Tournament’s Group A matches concludes

The Group A final day of the MNL 2 Promotion Amateur Club Tournament continued on 23 December at Bahan Artificial Turf Stadium, where the Rainbow and Rangers teams advanced to the semi-finals.
On the last day of Group A, both matches were drawn. The Rainbow and TKG Hmawby teams played with one goal each, while the Rangers and Burmese Bees teams drew with two goals each. Myo Thura scored one goal for TKG Hmawby at 5 minutes, while Win Htay Kyaw made an equalizer for the Rainbow team at 39 minutes. After the match, the Rainbow team, which had already advanced to the next round, secured a tie for first place in the group.
Next, the Burmese Bees played against the Rangers team in the next match. San Min Tun scored the first goal at two minutes, and Htet Wai Yan Hein scored the second goal at 84 minutes. Aung Naing Phyo scored the consolation goal for Team Rangers at 15 minutes and 51 minutes. Rangers secured the draw they needed to advance to the next round, reaching the semi-finals as second in the group.
After the group A matches, the Rainbow team won the first group with seven points, the Rangers team won the second group with four points and entered the semi-finals, while the Burmese Bees team and TKG Hmawby team got two points each and left the group stage.The final matches for Group B will be continued today. — Ko Nyi Lay/MNL
