Among the licensed agencies for overseas employment service, those sending workers to Japan regularly submit monthly summaries in prescribed forms and there are fewer cases of complaints, according to the data released by Safe Migration (the Ministry of Labour).
The ministry’s statement expressed its appreciation to most overseas employment agencies for Japan, acknowledging their respectful conduct.
As the majority of taxpayers have fully paid their due income tax, some agencies have even been able to attach the list of remittances to families, while almost all of them have completed IRIS training and there have been few cases of complaints.
Since the purpose of granting an agency license is to find overseas job opportunities and enable the socioeconomic development of workers, the agencies that have obtained business licences are required to prove themselves to be dignified enterprises by respecting and complying with the licence conditions, it said.
From 1 January 2024, overseas employment agencies will no longer need to report to the headquarters in person or by letter for recruitment procedures, and will only be required to submit relevant matters by email.
There are now more than 500 overseas employment agencies in Myanmar. — MT/ZN/ED
