Above 20,000 small industries registered nationwide as of Oct

A total of 20,522 small industries in all regions and states, including Nay Pyi Taw Council Area, were registered up to October 2023.
Yangon Region has 4,559 industries, the highest number in the country. Out of the 13 categories of industries, the registration for foodstuff industries is the highest, followed by general industries.
The State Economic Promotion Fund has provided loans totalling up to 233.2 million to industries in six regions and states for the development of registered industries.
By registering, small and medium enterprises will not only be able to obtain loans from the State Economic Promotion Fund but also avail themselves of many opportunities to compete with domestic and international businesses. — TWA/MKKS
