Myanmar, Thai armed forces strengthening bonds for enhanced bilateral relations

Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and Air Chief Marshal Punpakdee Pattanakul of the Royal Thai Air Force agreed to promote existing friendly ties and cooperation between the two armed forces of Myanmar and Thailand.
The cordial talks took place at Zeyathiri Beikman in Nay Pyi Taw where Chairman of the State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received a delegation led by Air Chief Marshal Punpakdee Pattanakul of the Royal Thai Air Force yesterday morning.
They also exchanged views on the exchange of cultural troupes and friendly sport contingents of both armed forces, and further enhancement of friendly relations through exchange of goodwill visits of senior military officers, Tatmadaw members and families.
Also present at the ceremony were Lt-Gen Ye Win Oo of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief, Commander-in-Chief (Air) General Tun Aung and senior military officers. The Thai Air Chief Marshal was accompanied by senior air force officers of the Royal Thai Air Force and Military Attaché (Air) of the Royal Thai Air Force to Myanmar Group Captain Jumphol Chantakamma. — MNA/TTA
