Coffee growers of Ywangan township get good price for coffee

Four coffee cultivation cooperative societies of Ywangan Cooperative Syndicate and Shwe Theingi coffee association, Danu Self-Administered Zone in Shan State (South) operate their businesses in buying, grinding and distributing coffee bean from local farmers.
In the fiscal year 2022-2023, these cooperative societies distributed 471.294 tonnes of coffee bean, and when the coffee is harvested, members of the coffee farmers’ cooperative societies are cost effective for fetching K1,500 to K3,800 per pound of whole coffee beans.
Furthermore, during the fiscal year 2022-2023, the Township Cooperative Syndicate and Kaung Htet Hein coffee production cooperative society refunded K31.566 million to their members. Additionally, the four coffee production cooperative societies and the Shwe Theingi Coffee group have already allotted K25.766 million of profit to coffee farmers. — MNA/KZW
