The Employers Organization Department-EOD, under the Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (UMFCCI), has announced the opening of worker affair courses in 2023. These courses aim to educate private entrepreneurs on Myanmar labour laws and regulations.
The introductory courses will be taught by officials from UMFCCI and the Arbitration Council. They will be held on 19 June from 1 pm to 4 pm. Additionally, online courses will be available on 23 and 29 June, as well as 7, 14, and 21 July from 1 pm to 3 pm.
The course fees are set at K30,000 for EOD subscribers and K60,000 for EOD non-subscribers. Participants are required to attend the courses in their entirety and will receive completion certificates upon submitting the required reports as outlined in the course guidelines.
To enrol in the courses, applicants must provide their company name and business type. Furthermore, substitutions during the courses are not allowed, and participants must adhere to any additional rules and announcements provided by the course organizers.
By offering these worker affairs training courses, the EOD aims to enhance the knowledge and understanding of labour laws among private entrepreneurs in Myanmar. — TWA/MKKS
