Indians trafficked in Myanmar sent back to India

Indian citizens trafficked in Myanmar are seen at Yangon International Airport before departure for their country on 26 July.

The Indian Embassy to Myanmar has successfully repatriated a total of 381 Indian citizens who were trafficked in Myanmar. On 30 September, two Indian citizens, who were the victims of trafficking in Myanmar, left for Chennai International Airport in India through Yangon International Airport with the assistance of Indian Embassy to Myanmar.
They will return to their respective places from there, according to the Indian Embassy to Myanmar.
The embassy to Myanmar has been rescuing its citizens who were trafficked in Myanmar and brought them back to their country, and there recent efforts have brought a total of 381 its citizens back.
The embassy has also expressed their appreciation to the Myanmar authorities and other supporters for their invaluable assistance to rescue and repatriation Indian citizens who had been trafficked in Myanmar.
Furthermore, the Indian External Affairs Ministry had also issued a warning to its citizens to pay a special attention to job offering in IT sector promising high salaries. — ASH/KZL
