Inmates released from Insein Central Prison

A total of 721 inmates: 590 males and 131 females were released from Insein Central Prison yesterday under Section 505-A of the Criminal Procedure Code.

A release ceremony of prisoners under Section 505-A of the Code of Criminal Procedure was held at Indoor Gymnasium of Insein Central Prison, Department of Prisons in Yangon yesterday.
Member of Yangon Region Administration Council (1) Colonel Win Tint, Secretary of Yangon Region Administration Council U Soe Soe Zaw, Yangon Region Police force Chief Police Brig-Gen Myo Min Htike, Director of the Department of Prisons of Yangon Region U Zaw Zaw, Myanmar district police commanders’ offices, Insein Central Prison officers, officials from township general administration departments, departmental organizations and the Department of Prisons attended the ceremony.
Yangon Region Administration Council Member Colonel Win Tint and Secretary U Soe Soe Zaw addressed the prisoners and concluded the ceremony by greeting the prisoners one by one. The released prisoners were then escorted by YBS vehicles to the respective townships.
