MCB announces closure and opening of its branches

Myanmar Citizens Bank-MCB notified its investors and shareholders on 28 December, that five branches were closed and three new branches were opened with the permission of the Central Bank of Myanmar.
In a notice to investors and shareholders, it was mentioned that the Zigon Branch located at No 132, Bogyoke Aung San Street, Yangyiaung Ward, Zigon Kanbalu Township, Sagaing Region, and the Taze Branch located at No 1112/B, Wingaba (South), Paw Oo Ward, Taze, were terminated on 7 December 2022.
In addition, Mandalay Branch 4 at No 305, between 35th and 36th Street, 80th Street, Mahaaungmyay Township was also closed on 25 March 2022. The bank declared that the Muse Branch 1 at No (AA-27/A), Muse 105th-Mile trade zone, northern Shan State, and Monywa branch opened on the first floor of Chindwin Yadana Market, Aungmingala Ward, Sagaing Region, were shut down on 9 October 2020.
After the closure of five branches, the MCB stated that the Kamakyi Branch of Thingangyun Township, Yangon Region, the PyinOoLwin Branch, Mandalay Region and the Hinthada Branch, Ayeyawady Region were opened on 1 November, 19 August and 26 December respectively. — TWA/CT
