MoIP Union Minister receives acting UN Resident Coordinator and Humanitarian Coordinator for Myanmar

Union Minister for Immigration and Population U Myint Kyaing met Mr Ramanathan Balakrishnan, acting UN Resident Coordinator and Humanitarian Coordinator for Myanmar and party at the ministry’s meeting hall at 10 am yesterday.
Both parties discussed and exchanged views concerning friendly cooperation with UN agencies, arrangement of entry visas and accommodation for foreign employees from UN agencies, the collaboration of UN agencies over humanitarian activities in Myanmar, support of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) for taking a census in Myanmar and measures for further cooperation.
Deputy Ministers U Htay Hlaing and Dr Myo Thant, and officials were also present at the meeting. — MNA/CT
