Ngapali Beach Autumn Festival to be held in November

The Ngapali Beach Autumn Festival will be held in Thandwe Township of Rakhine State in November. The authorities make preparations for the festival regarding the cleanliness of the beach and opening of hotels, motels and guesthouses, according to U Tin Tun Aung, Director of the Directorate of Hotels and Tourism (Rakhine State).
The autumn festival aims to attract travellers and the first and second autumn festivals were held on 21 November 2021 and 22 November 2022. This year festival will be held between 14 and 22 November.
“The Ngapali Beach Autumn Festival will be in November. It is held yearly. The event will include the events like previous years such as the sand pagoda festival and funfairs. It will also include Rakhine traditional wrestling, volleyball, cycling, racing and Greasy pole climbing competitions,” said U Tin Tun Aung.
Ngapali Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in Myanmar and also the best-known beach in Asia.
The beach hosted huge crowds of domestic and foreign travellers before the COVID-19 period. There are 102 hotels and guesthouses in Rakhine State, of which 70 hotels, motels and guesthouses of which are being operated. — ASH/KTZH
