Opening of concrete bridge, beach resort honours 49th Anniversary of Mon State Day

State Administration Council member Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defence General Mya Tun Oo, SAC member U Yan Kyaw, Union Ministers Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung and Jeng Phang Naw Taung, Mon State Chief Minister U Aung Kyi Thein and Commander of South-East Command Maj-Gen Myat Thet Oo on 18 March attended the inauguration of a concrete bridge on Chaungzon-Muyitkalay-Kamakay road in Chaungzon Township of Mon State as a gesturing of honouring the 49th Anniversary of Mon State Day.
The concrete bridge built of reinforced concrete beams and rails is 80 feet long and 31 feet wide with a 24 feet wide motor way.
They also joined the ceremony to open the beach resort on the extended strand road in Mawlamyine.
Officials sprinkled scented water on the signboard of Yamanya beach resort. They presented cash award to the ethnic dancing troupes which performed entertainments. Then, they visited the beach. — MNA/TTA
