Over 10,000 city taxis now display yellow line stickers on both sides

The Yangon Region Public Transport Committee (YRTC) has stated that more than 10,000 city taxis are currently operating in the Yangon Region, and they have completed the process of affixing yellow line stickers on the sides of their vehicles.
The YRTC issued a directive for city taxis to install these yellow stickers, which will help them stand out from other vehicles on the road. The installation process is scheduled to begin on 1 November 2023, and it will continue for three months until 31 January 2024.
City taxis that install the stickers during this specified period will receive a subsidy of K5,000 to cover the cost of the stickers, including the design and cutting.
Any taxi vehicles that do not attach the yellow line sticker to their sides during the mentioned period will face legal action under Section 96 of the Vehicle Safety and Motor Vehicle Management Law. — TWA/CT
