Sectoral Risk Assessment Workshop on Property & Gold Businesses held

The Sectoral Risk Assessment Workshop on Real Estate and Gold Businesses in progress in Nay Pyi Taw on 19 June.

The General Administration Department, which is the supervisory authority, held a Sectoral Risk Assessment Workshop for Real Estate Agents and Precious Metal trading businesses on 19 June 2023 at Hotel Max Nay Pyi Taw.
In the workshop, U Myint Than, Director-General of the General Administration Department, gave an opening speech. Then, U Ko Ko Maung, Deputy Director-General of the Financial Regulation Department who is also the Head of the CIASC, and U Thu Rein Aung, Deputy Director of the Special Investigation Department explained the purpose of the workshop and the tasks and procedures of the Anti Money Laundering and Combatting the Financing of Terrorism. A total of 216 participants including 26 General Administration Department employees from nine Nay Pyi Taw/Region/State GADs, 145 real estate agents and 45 precious metal (gold) dealers attended the workshop.
Afterwards, the director and deputy director of the Land Division of the General Administration Department discussed the questionnaires of Sectoral Risk Assessment Questionnaires, and the questionnaires are answered by the real estate agents and precious metal (gold) dealers who attended. The answered questionnaires were recollected, reviewed and discussed before the conclusion of the workshop.
