Visa extension disallowed for foreigners whose visa validates less than 60 days

Visa extensions for foreigners in local companies will not be issued at all if their visa validity is less than 60 days, the Directorate of Investment and Company Administration (DICA) notified on 11 January.
It is found that foreigners are applying for visas with less than 60 days remaining though they need to apply at least 60 days before their previous visa expires.
On 1 November 2022, foreign companies were informed that they must obtain visa extensions for foreigners at least 60 days prior to their visa expiry.
A hundred companies were cancelled from the registration list as of 12 December 2022 under Section 430 (f) of the Myanmar Company Law. —TWA/KZW
