18 rioters arrested in Taunggyi and Yankin

A total of 18 rioters were arrested with materials used in riots after the security forces dispersed the crowd yesterday morning in Taunggyi, Shan State and Yankin, Yangon Region.
Six men and two women were detained from the riot on Yadanar Thiri road lane (4) and West Ring Road, Nyaung Phyu camp ward, Taunggyi, after the security forces dispersed the group of about 40 rioters yesterday morning.
About 20 rioters gathered near Moe Kaung bus stop yesterday morning in Yankin Township, Yangon and 12 were arrested.
It is reported that rioters who are under arrest will be taken actions under the law. —MNA
