Members of the State Administration Council warmly greet athletes competing at the 2023-2024 Inter-State/Region Billiard and Snooker Championship in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.

The 2023-2024 Inter-State/Region Billiard and Snooker Championship commenced at the Billiard and Snooker Hall of the Wunna Theikdi Stadium in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday morning.
Members of the State Administration Council, Union Ministers, deputy ministers, officials, and athletes enjoyed the event.
Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs U Min Thein Zan, also the chairman of the Myanmar Olympic Committee, inaugurated the ceremony by expressing his desire for athletes to showcase their talents and strive to excel. He encouraged them to become exemplary athletes on whom the state can rely. Following his remarks, the athletes recited the Sports Oaths.
The championship will run from 24 February to 1 March, featuring 13 male teams and 10 female teams. Spectators interested in sports can attend the events free of charge. — MNA/KZL
