314 Myanmar citizens repatriated from Thailand

Officials received 314 Myanmar returnees from Thailand through the Myanmar-Thailand Friendship Bridge II in Myawaddy on 1 September.
They are 218 men and 96 women from various regions and states including Bago Region, Mon State and Taninthayi Region.
Relevant departmental staff and officials welcomed them, disseminated information about COVID-19 disease and collected their data.
Among them, returnees from Bago Region, Mon State and Taninthayi Region were sent to the quarantine centre in Mawlamyine and others will be sent back to their respective townships only after a 10-day quarantine in Myawady trade zone and Maekanel until no infection is detected. — TWA/GNLM
