4.5-foot-long tiger seen at Maei Creek Settawya

The tiger is kept and fed at the Thalika Farm of the Uruvela Tawya Monastery.

A 4.5-foot-long tiger was found at Maei Creek Settawya, 16 miles and six furlongs from Maei, Rakhine State, yesterday evening.
The incident took place on the full moon night of Tabodwe when a 4.5-foot-long tiger arrived near the base of Maei Creek Settawya.
The tiger was captured and fed by the Maei Settawya Board of Trustees at the Thalika Farm of the Uruvela Tawya Monastery.
This tiger is a (Formosan clouded leopard) species. A local stated that the tiger is a rare member of the cat family. —Min Thein Tun/GNLM
