500 kV substation project over 70% complete, set for December finish

The Ministry of Electricity stated that the 79 per cent completed 500 kV substation project, which is the first being implemented in Myanmar, will be finished by December.
The Kankaung substation is being implemented by the Electricity Transmission and Control Department near Mile 293 of the Yangon-Mandalay Expressway.
Now, 73.17 per cent of the entire project has been completed, and it will be fully completed next December.
After the completion of the 500 kV project, the electricity produced by the power plants located in the north of the country will be able to be fully transmitted to the south of the country. — TWA/KZL
