500 returnees repatriated through Myawady Friendship Bridge II

Myanmar nationals from abroad are being welcomed back through various land borders, officials said.
On 26 October, a total of 500 returnees came back home through the Myanmar-Thailand Friendship Bridge II in Myawady.
From 26 September, the number of Myanmar returnees has increased from 200 to 500 per day.
Officials conducted COVID-19 tests and provided quarantine entry documents for the returnees.
Next, officials explained instructions of the Ministry of Health to the returnees and departmental officials provided necessary assistance.
Then, the returnees were transported to their respective townships by car provided by the township administration bodies.
The COVID-19 positive patients are being kept in separate areas and the necessary medical and administrative matters are being coordinated, officials said.
A total of 500 returnees: 301 males and 199 females came back home on 26 October. — Mahn Than Shwe Myint(IPRD) /GNLM
