500 soldiers from Meiktila air force prepare to march to northern Shan State is fake news

False news that 500 soldiers from Meiktila Air Force Base in Mandalay Region have planned to march to northern Shan State has been spread on social media pages by Mekong Media, State Administration Council made a statement on 1 December.

The statement said such incorrect information intends to make disheartened the soldiers who are protecting the country and the people’s lives and prosperty, to disgrace the Tatmadaw, and to mislead the people.

Moreover, these illegal media outlets which intend to disturb the country and incite terror acts have also attempted to mislead civil service personnel who are carrying out the duties of the country and the people who want to live peacefully, said the statement.–Thittaw/ZS
