A total of 62 construction permits were issued in the first week of October within the boundary of the Yangon City Development Committee-YCDC.
Similarly, 31 building completion certificates (BCC) were granted.
To allow the building construction, 14 endorsements were sent to the Fire Services Department, 41 to the Engineering Department (Water and Sanitation), 11 to the Urban Land Management Department and one to the Urban Planning Department, while another one has been sent to the Urban and Housing Development Department.
When building construction permits were issued, landlords and licensed contractors needed to implement the SOP to be communicated with the power corporation to get electricity access. Licensed contractors will install electricity meters in BCC buildings following a meeting this week, according to the Yangon Electricity Supply Corporation. — TWA/KZL
