On behalf of the Chairman of the State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services, Commander-in-Chief (Air) General Tun Aung delivered an address at the graduation ceremony of the 85th intake of pilot course of the Tatmadaw (Air) in Meiktila yesterday morning.
The General presented wings to the graduated pilots individually and awards to relevant outstanding graduated pilots.
Speaking on the occasion, the General stressed that whatever they serve duties, they have to discharge duties as a good soldier or a good officer with the least supervision to accomplish the assignments with the highest capacity.
Aimed at shaping the Tatmadaw (Air) as a modern air force, he continued that modern aeroplanes and helicopters, arms and operation aid systems are being provided annually. Moreover, he noted that military strategies and tactics are being given to trainees to gain experience and knowledge in practical fields.
The General urged those graduates to have health and fitness in addition to strong morale for successfully serving the duties of operation and training day and night.
The General met outstanding graduated pilots and their parents at the Aviation Operation Training School of the Flying Training Base.
Today’s graduated pilots have to continue attending advanced training courses to operate aeroplanes and helicopters.
In the evening, the General and wife attended the graduation dinner in honour of the 85th intake of the pilot course of the Tatmadaw (Air) together with senior military officers. — MNA/TTA
