Union Minister Dr Nyunt Pe visits school principal refresher course in Nay Pyi Taw

MoE minister seen meeting high and middle school principals, who are attending the management, finance and education refresher course, to prepare for reopening schools.

Union Minister for Education Dr Nyunt Pe and Deputy Minister Dr Zaw Myint, U Zaw Win and officials, visited the Basic Education High School and Middle School Principals management (management, finance, education) refresher course held in Zabuthiri Township and Zeyathiri Township in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
During the visit, the Union Minister said plans are underway to reopen the basic education schools according to the 22 rules of the COVID-19 preventive measures that have been closed for a year and with the cooperation of the respective education officers in regions and states. He also said doctoral programmes and final-year degree courses would be reopened in April and May.
The Union Minister added it is necessary for school principals to prepare for their schools and to present the requirements openly and that books will be provided to the school library.
He stressed the need to have equal assets in schools as well as equal teaching and excellent management, adding it is vital to ensure equal learning opportunities without discrimination between rich and poor, rural or urban, since students are the leaders of the future.
The Union Minister also urged the school principals to work together to reopen schools and higher education systems by raising the quality of their management.
