Union Minister for Electricity and Energy U Aung Than Oo inspected Yeywa hydropower plant and 230 KV Shwesaryan and Aungpinle main power stations in Patheingyi Township yesterday.
At Yeywa power plant, Managing Director U Than Naing Oo of Electric Power Generation Enterprise and head of the power plant presented the water storage processes of the dam. Then, the Union Minister gave necessary instructions and inspected feeding of electricity to national grid from the power control room by operating turbines, water storage process of dam, power intake structure and spillway.
The Union Minister and party also went to 230 KV Shwesaryan and 230 KV Aungpinle main power stations where the heads of the stations clarified the work plans.
The Union Minster stressed the need to inform the public about the duration of power cut-off in advance when the repair works and maintenance are conducted and he inspected the power control unit and power transmission system in the switch yard.—MNA
