900,000 fingerlings released into Yeywa hydropower project reservoir in Kyaukse

The Fisheries Department added about 900,000 fingerlings into Yeywa hydropower project reservoir in Kyaukse township on yesterday.
This effort aims to effectuate sustainable development of the fisheries resources, ensuring sufficient fish ration and enhancing domestic fisheries consumption.
The ceremony was attended by Mandalay Region Fishery Department Head U Aung Nyi Toe and his staff, Kyaukse District Administration Body Member 1 Lieutenant-Colonel Zaw Naing Oo, Member 2 U Aung Thu, District Fisheries Department Head Daw Khaing Khaing Win and officials and the camp authorities.
According to the District Fisheries Department, 900,000 fingerlings were added to the reservoir, including 650,000 Rohu fingerlings, 200,000 barb fingerlings, and 50,000 golden Mrigal fingerlings. — Tin Tin Htwe/GNLM
