The Ministry of Transport and Communications celebrated the 147th anniversary of Myanma Railways at Nay Pyi Taw Railway Station on 4 May.
The ceremony was attended by SAC Member Deputy Prime Minister Union Minister for Transport and Communications General Mya Tun Oo along with deputy ministers, permanent secretaries, heads of department under the ministry, the managing director, departmental officials and staff of Myanma Railways.
General Mya Tun Oo first delivered a speech to commemorate the 147th anniversary of Myanma Railways.
In addition, the Managing Director of Myanma Railways explained the department’s activities during the 2023-2024 financial year and played a video to commemorate the 147th anniversary.
The SAC Member Deputy Prime Minister and the Union Minister, the Deputy Minister and the Managing Director of the Myanma Railways presented the best performance awards for each divisions, factory, and hospital of the Myanma Railways during the financial year 2023-2024.
The ceremony ended after taking the commemorative photos with attendees. — MNA/TKO
