Build a peaceful nation with positive attitudes in changed mindsets

The day of 12th February showing the Union Spirit of the ethnic nationals who initiated the efforts to regain independence through the unity of the people from the whole nation was honoured as Union Day. On 12 February 2022, the anniversary of Union Day would be the Diamond Jubilee.
On that day in 1947, the Panglong Agreement was signed by the leaders of various ethnicities residing in Myanmar with a vow to regain independence through the concerted efforts of the people from hilly and plain regions as part of the unity based on the Union spirit. As a fruitful result of the Panglong Agreement, those from hilly and plain regions together with the Tatmadaw unitedly regained the independence of Myanmar on 4 January 1948.

Hence, let’s go forward to build a peaceful environment in Myanmar in the future. All stakeholders to the peace dialogues need to improve their mindsets with positive attitudes.

As a gesture of hailing the Diamond Jubilee Union Day, work processes must be beefed up for strengthing the Union Spirit across the Union, ensuring the prosperity of the country and restoring the perpetual peace so as to further cement the national unity. Only when Myanmar is inhabited by many ethnic nationals forges the unity among them can nobody disintegrate the sovereignty of the Union. Hence, further efforts must be made for building the compact and united strength among national brethren in the future.
Any ethnic groups do not isolate in many regions and states. Myanmar is a Union inhabited by various ethnic nationals together. In arranging the negotiation to seek the best way of addressing the armed conflicts in successive eras, it is not necessary to prioritize own ethnic, state, region and organization. Only when the dialogues must be held with unity can the perpetual peace the entire ethnic national people aspire be restored.
As such, all national brethren need to lead the dialogues with negotiations to restore perpetual peace. In fact, the entire national people, the dialogues and the restoration of perpetual peace will be inseparable in building a peaceful nation.
Based on the aforesaid three factors, Myanmar, the motherland for all national races, must have the chance to enjoy a brighter future. Hence, let’s go forward to build a peaceful environment in Myanmar in the future. All stakeholders to the peace dialogues need to improve their mindsets with positive attitudes.
