150,000 juvenile fish planted in Myitmakha river in Letpadan, Bago region

With the arrangement of the Township Hatchery Plantation Supervision Committee, a total of 150,000 two-inch juvenile fish were released yesterday morning into the Myitmakha River in Letpadan Township, Thayawady District, Bago Region.
The Township Hatchery Plantation Supervision Committee aims for long-term and sustainable fish food supply as well as to increase fish production by diversifying fish in natural waters and to ensure the food security of the rural people.
Yesterday, officials released a total of 50,000 carp, 70,000 Barbus, and 30,000 Cirrhianus marigla into the natural river. —Wint Nanda Htay (IRPD)/GNLM
