MoH Union Minister receives Indian Ambassador to Myanmar in Nay Pyi Taw

Union Minister for Health Dr Thet Khaing Win received Ambassador of India to Myanmar Mr Saurabh Kumar and discussed health cooperation and COVID-19 vaccine issues yesterday in Nay Pyi Taw.
The meeting discussed the use of COVID-19 vaccines manufactured by India in Myanmar to prevent and control COVID-19 in the country, easing travel restrictions with the evidence of completion of immunization recognized by the two countries, bilateral cooperation for Cowin Platform for COVID-19 vaccination, the inclusion of Covaxin COVID-19 vaccines in the list of vaccines recognized by Myanmar as it has been approved by the WHO for emergency use, current vaccination under the National Vaccine Deployment Plan with the COVID-19 vaccines purchased by the Government or donated under the friendship relations between the two countries, sending medical specialists by the Ministry of Health to India for education and the possibility of further cooperation with India on the construction of a state-of-the-art hospital in Myanmar. — MNA
