K6.3 million worth of illegal timbers, vehicles and engine oil seized

Under the supervision of the Illegal Trade Eradication Committee, action is being taken against illegal trades under the law. On 1 and 2 February, authorities seized K6,314,520 worth of illegal timbers, vehicles and engine oil.
On 1 February, a combined inspection team under the management of the Illegal Trade Eradication Task Force seized K1,440,000 worth of engine oil containers under the Customs Law.
A combined inspection team led by the Department of Forest inspected the forest reserve in Toungoo District according to the report and confiscated 11.4134 tonnes of illegal teak worth K2,324,520 under the Forest Law yesterday.
Similarly, an inspection team led by the Myanmar Police Force under the management of the Sagaing Region Illegal Trade Eradication Task Force conducted inspections and confiscated one unregistered motorcycle (New Asia 125) (estimated value of K50,000) in Mingin Township and one unregistered Honda CRV car (estimated value of K2,500,000), and action is taken under the Export and Import Law. — MNA
