Myanmar receives Malaysia-donated 500,000 AstraZeneca doses

The Malaysian government donated 500,000 doses of AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccines and they arrived at Yangon International Airport yesterday.
The vaccines were handed over by Malaysia-Myanmar Business Chamber (MMBC) Chairperson Ms Loi Jin Choo, Counsellor Mr Muhammad Syukri Bin Azmi and officials to Dr Tun Min, Head of Yangon Region Public Health and Medical Services Department.
The vaccines will be kept at the central vaccine store depot of the Public Health Department on Mindhamma road in Mayangon Township.
The vaccines will be distributed to Nay Pyi Taw, Regions/States with the help of Myanmar National Airlines and Tatmadaw (Air) to vaccinate the target groups at the public hospitals and vaccination sites.
More than 28.97 million people receive vaccine more than one time to date and 1.2 million receive boosters and so a total of more than 52.65 million doses are delivered in the country. — MNA
